_Kathleen Gionis, Attorney
As the first woman to practice law in Polk County, where she was born and raised, Wisconsin native Kathleen Gionis developed extensive experience navigating her hometown legal community and the Western Wisconsin Circuit Courts. Having practiced law for over 30 years in the same community, Ms. Gionis maintains working relationships with many of the local lawyers, judges, clerks, and other legal professionals. With this experience and personal knowledge of the local industry, she is able to vigorously and effectively represent clients both inside and outside the courtroom.
Based in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Kathleen Gionis entered the legal field in 1980 in the law offices of James Erickson, serving as his associate attorney for four years. Ms. Gionis assumed control of the private practice when Mr. Erickson accepted a position as a Polk County Circuit Court Judge. Since that time, Ms. Gionis has developed the business into its present form, which includes a thriving practice, an extensive list of satisfied clients, an associate attorney, and ownership of the building which houses the law office.
Kathleen Gionis focuses her legal practice on family law issues, including child support or divorce proceedings, and matters of estate planning such as wills, guardianships, and health care power of attorney and durable power of attorney arrangements.
